About 150 years ago, the Nebraska Territory stretched from the Missouri River to the Continental Divide and from the Kansas border to Canada.

The Territory, newly formed from a large portion of the Louisiana Purchase, held men and beasts, mountains and plains, trees and grass, lakes and rivers. One of those rivers is the Loup which flows from the Great Sandhills, in three branches, to the wide, serene Platte.

There wasn’t much to do then other than bust sod, drive cattle, drink, and make music. Not much has changed in 150 years so we continue the tradition.

Dance, cowboy, dance.
